DELBERT LACY MARKS age 78 of Knoxville, passed away Friday, September 17, 2010 at Mercy Hospital. Member and trustee of Third Creek Baptist Church. He served in the Marines and was a POW in the Korean War. Retired Teacher and Football Coach for Knox County Schools. He was an avid golfer. He was loved by all who knew him. Preceded in death by parents, Graham and Annie Marks; sisters, Viva Milner and Doris Yates. Survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Betty Lou Bennett Marks; son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Carolyn marks; daughter, Kim Marks Turner; grandchildren, Joshua, Logan and Jessica Marks and Dalton Turner; brothers, Cecil, twin brother, Elbert and Jimmy (Nancy) Marks; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 4-7 pm Sunday at Weaver's Chapel with the service to follow at 7 pm.
